40oz To Freedom - A Tribute To Sublime
Sublime was a ska-punk band from Southern California that hit the music scene in 1992 with their debut album, "40 oz. to Freedom". There mix of punk and ska gave them a sound similar to No Doubt and their lyrics made them a household name. Just when they began to realize wide-spread success, they lost their lead singer, Bradley Nowell, to a tragic drug overdose. This ended their rise and the hopes and dreams of the band. Fans couldn't get enough of their engaging music and were left wanting more.
40 oz. to Freedom is a Sublime tribute band that was launched in 2007 by Dane Scott, Terry Davis and Mark LeBlanc. Each musicians in their own right, the three came together to pay tribute to the fallen band that was destined to become iconic.
